Not long after we lost Bandit—who sadly went missing one night and never returned—Kimber spotted a stray on the side of the road with markings strikingly similar to his. She quickly called home, asking for photos of Bandit… could it really be him? While the unique markings were incredibly close, it wasn’t our original Bandit. Still, the resemblance was uncanny—like a little nudge from the universe.
And just like that, Bandito joined the family.
Though he showed signs of neglect when we found him, with some care and love, he’s now thriving and clearly loving his new life. Bandito has taken on the role of ranch cat and unofficial guest escort. He’s especially fond of golf cart rides—he’ll hop on with anyone, anytime! These days, he often lounges at Nana’s house (completely uninvited, but always content).
With his white coat and bold black markings, Bandito is hard to miss—and with his friendly nature, even harder not to love. If you see a cat cruising around the property on a random golf cart, chances are it’s him. He and Smokey continue to be our loyal ranch cats, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
