Meet the Ranch Cats

The domestication of cats likely began as a symbiotic relationship between humans and wildcats. The earliest such relation was discovered 9,500 years ago with the cat buried in its own small grave.

Cats are hunters, and these handsome two are no exception! But the term ranch cat also implies they live in a barn, are not fed commercial food, and never come inside. Not true for these guys! They do wander during the day and sometimes achieve a “prize.” But we bring them in at night, and yes, they have toys and a fancy litter box.
