I've known about the local Turkey Vultures in the area, and they're quite impressive. I've seen them on our telephone poles, soaring overhead, and they roost in our neighbor's giant trees every evening. They're HUGE and pretty majestic! This morning, Susan (my friend/colleague from OC) was here to lend a helping hand with some chores, and we spent some time on the patio catching up. I look over toward the Repair Shop (what we've termed our little workshop/future guest house), and the ground is covered with about a dozen vultures. They were busy socializing, sunning themselves, and preparing for their day. It was quite a sight!
