Arrival Instructions

Notes on getting here:

• From RAMONA (coming from the East):

  • From the 67, you will turn RIGHT onto Shady Bend (NOT Shady Oaks, which is a gated community).

  • It’s easy to miss the turn on to Shady Bend because it’s immediately after a curve. Shady Bend is the 5th road after Air Mail Lane and 1/3 mile after the Lemurian Fellowship. There is a wide area to turn on to Shady Bend and it is BEFORE the dark red truck on display on the hillside on the left (formerly Farmstand 67); the street sign for Shady Bend has red and white reflectors on it (like a candy cane!).
     

• From POWAY (coming from the West):

  • When turning off of the 67 (coming from the West), it’s easy to miss the turn on to Shady Bend.

  • Look for a dark red antique truck on display (formerly Farmstand 67) on your right and Shady Bend will be immediately on your LEFT where there is a wide turn-of; the street sign has red and white reflectors on it (like a candy cane!).
     

• Once you’ve turned left on Shady Bend, please go slow as there’s been a lot of wear and washing out because of the rains. Potholes galore!

• When you reach the fork at the small group of mailboxes, stay to your LEFT of the mailboxes to head up John Henry Lane.

• Again, please drive slowly to avoid the potholes and be aware that this is a narrow, one-lane road. Just take it slow; if you meet a car, there are several spots to pull over or back up. ;)
   

• Once you see the large Robin’s Nest gate on your right after coming up the hill, you’ve arrived!

• PARKING: Please park near the turquoise Little Free Library and carport near the main house. Hang there and we will come to meet you! (Additional parking is available on the side of the road on the other side of the carport, near the large dumpster on the road).
